At 66 degrees with 200 BBQ chickens and 300 people we kicked off the inaugural Summer Nights of 2017! Summer Nights is a relaxed time for the whole church to connect throughout the summer and enjoy a meal together.
Last week’s theme was “Backyard BBQ Bash” (hence, the 200 chickens). In addition to the food we also enjoyed board games and, keeping with the backyard theme, lawn games. Some people preferred a laid-back game of cards, dominoes or Yahtzee. Others elected to break a sweat on the basketball court or over a game of spikeball or in the inflatable gaga ball pit.
Still others decided that simply hanging out with friends and meeting new ones fit the bill.
And of course, none of this could have been pulled off without those who volunteered to help in the kitchen and with setup and cleanup!
There are four more Summer Nights on the calendar between now and the end of August. Whether you are in town for all of them or only for one or two, we invite you join us!
The theme for the next Summer Nights on Wednesday, July 12th, is “Fish Fry in July.” There will be no shortage of food, so feel free to invite as many guests as you want! Click HERE to RSVP!
