For the past three years I have had the privilege and joy of working on staff here at Seabreeze as the Worship Coordinator. It’s hard to believe that my husband and I had plans to move to Chicago and only attend Seabreeze as a temporary church until we moved. Obviously, God had different plans for our lives and it has turned out to be better than I could have ever imagined.
One of my favorite parts of being on staff was the relationships developed. Not just between coworkers, but with leaders and volunteers. Seabreeze’s Heart Attitudes and mission became part of those relationships and how they have blossomed. To have worked at a place where people’s lives come first is an incredible thing.
With much excitement (and a little sadness honestly) I will be leaving the staff and the working world and staying at home. I know I hide it well and nobody can tell but I am due with our second baby in a month. God has provided Tudor and I the opportunity for me to stay at home, raise and love our children and support my husband as he continues on staff in his new role as Assistant Pastor.
So what does this new life actually look like? I have no idea! I’ve never been a mother of two. I’ve never been a stay-at-home mom or a Pastor’s wife. There are a lot of unknowns as we move forward but there are many positive constants that we can rely on: God, our firm foundation for all of our decisions; Seabreeze, not just a past place of employment, but a church that upholds and encourages values that have helped guide our family; and all of you! Our church community and family. I am so grateful to be a part of a group of people as loving and supportive as you.
Moving into this new stage of life is exciting and will probably provide me with many opportunities to grow. I am looking forward to growing alongside many of you who are at Seabreeze. I am appreciative of the time I was given to work on staff and look forward to serving as a volunteer once again.
