As the Connection Pastor at Seabreeze one of the parts of my job that gets me most excited is seeing people move forward in their walk with God. This fall at Seabreeze we have some really exciting opportunities for you to be involved that are designed to help you grow!

Bevan is going to be taking us through a message series on Sunday mornings that will explore the topic of courageous love.  In Luke 6:32, Jesus says, “If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them.” Love is something we all want and in our better moments it’s something we all want to give. But Jesus says that most people only love those who love them. We don’t get any credit for that kind of love because that’s only natural and true love is far from natural. Then in verse 35 Jesus goes on to say these shocking words: “But love your enemies, do good to them…” How are you supposed to love people you don’t get along with? What about insensitive, judgmental, or needy people? What does it look like to love someone who has harmed you? All our Growth Groups this fall will be studying this topic along with Bevan’s messages. Imagine how helpful it could be to not only learn what the Bible says about courageous love but also identify what it will look like in your own life while receiving support and encouragement from other members of a group? This is an opportunity you don’t want to miss out on.

Growth Groups begin meeting once a week starting the week of September 10 and will go through November 16. You can sign up online starting this Sunday!

In addition to Growth Groups, for the first time we are offering a course called Horizon. Horizon is designed to help participants begin to love the things God loves, and to view their lives and the world around them the way he does. As this happens in a person’s life they experience a God-centered life that is full of meaning. This course will look a little different than Growth Groups. Horizon has challenges and cost for you to consider. You can read more about the details of the course and also sign up to participate HERE.

I believe participation in either Growth Groups or Horizon will benefit you. I would love to see you get involved in one of these opportunities this fall.
