Opening Worship Lyrics

Glorious Day
By Kristian Stanfill

Verse 1:
I was buried beneath my shame
Who could carry that kind of weight?
It was my tomb ‘til I met You

Verse 2:
I was breathing but not alive
All my failures I tried to hide
It was my tomb ‘til I met You

Chorus:
You called my name
And I ran out of that grave
Out of the darkness
Into Your glorious day

You called my name
And I ran out of that grave
Out of the darkness
Into Your glorious day

Verse 3:
Now Your mercy has saved my soul
Now Your freedom is all that I know
The old made new
Jesus, when I met You

Chorus:
You called my name
And I ran out of that grave
Out of the darkness
Into Your glorious day

You called my name
And I ran out of that grave
Out of the darkness
Into Your glorious day

Bridge:
I needed rescue
My sin was heavy
But chains break
At the weight of Your glory

I needed shelter
I was an orphan
Now You call me a citizen of Heaven

When I was broken
You were my healing
Now Your love is the air
That I’m breathing

I have a future
My eyes are open
‘Cause when You called my name

Chorus:
I ran out of that grave
Out of the darkness
Into Your glorious day

You called my name
And I ran out of that grave
Out of the darkness
Into Your glorious day

The Lion and the Lamb
By Leeland

Verse 1:
He's coming on the clouds
Kings and kingdoms will bow down
And every chain will break
As broken hearts declare His praise
Who can stop the Lord Almighty?

Chorus:
Our God is the Lion
The Lion of Judah
He's roaring with power
And fighting our battles
And every knee will bow before Him

Our God is the Lamb
The Lamb that was slain
For the sins of the world
His blood breaks the chains
And every knee will bow before
The Lion and the Lamb
Oh every knee will bow before Him

Verse 2:
So open up the gates
Make way before the King of kings
Our God who calls the saved
Is here to set the captives free
Who can stop the Lord Almighty?

Chorus:
Our God is the Lion
The Lion of Judah
He's roaring with power
And fighting our battles
And every knee will bow before Him

Our God is the Lamb
The Lamb that was slain
For the sins of the world
His blood breaks the chains
And every knee will bow before
The Lion and the Lamb
Oh every knee will bow before Him

Bridge:
Who can stop the Lord Almighty?
Who can stop the Lord Almighty?
Who can stop the Lord Almighty?
Who can stop the Lord Almighty?
Who can stop the Lord Almighty?
Who can stop the Lord?

Chorus:
Our God is the Lion
The Lion of Judah
He's roaring with power
And fighting our battles
And every knee will bow before Him

Our God is the Lamb
The Lamb that was slain
For the sins of the world
His blood breaks the chains
And every knee will bow before
The Lion and the Lamb
Oh every knee will bow before Him

Close Your Eyes

Series - Surrender

Habakkuk 1:2-4
How long, O LORD, must I call for help, but you do not listen? Or cry out to you, "Violence!" but you do not save? Why do you make me look at injustice? Why do you tolerate wrong? Destruction and violence are before me; there is strife, and conflict abounds. Therefore, the law is paralyzed, and justice never prevails. The wicked hem in the righteous, so that justice is perverted.

Habakkuk 1:5
Look at the nations and watch- and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told.

1. Waiting invites us to surrender our plan.
    Galatians 4:4
2. Waiting invites us to surrender our status.
