Getting off the Worry-Go-Round

by Joanna Steinhaus on May 08, 2019

Last Friday night, about 70 women came together to learn more about what God has to say on worry. Rebecca Unrau was our speaker and she shared her story with us as well as her “worry story.” She used an image of a stage as a metaphor for worry. When we worry, we put that worry in the center stage of our life. However, God tells us specifically in Philippians 4:6-7 that we are not supposed to put worry on center stage but instead pray about everything with thanksgiving. Rebecca talked about what that looks like and encouraged us to take a leap of faith and get the right perspective. We can do this when we focus on doing something rather than nothing!

We all enjoyed being able to hear more on this topic and having the time to connect with one another. We also enjoyed a wonderful spread of delicious treats!

If you are interested in coming to the next women’s event, make sure to check the Sunday program for upcoming events and check out our Women’s Ministry page on our website!
