We have used our current restrooms since we got on this property over a decade ago. They have served us well with minimal improvements over the years. While they still work, we determined it was time for them to get a makeover and to receive new functionality additions.
With that said… bathroom renovations have begun! This past Sunday, after 3rd service, a small team started demo work in the boys’ and girls’ restrooms. This began a 3-week project to improve our restrooms.
For each of the bathrooms we are doing the following:
- Improving the look and feel. We are putting in new tile flooring, updating all of the partitions, putting fresh paint and drywall where needed as well as updating all of the fixtures – sinks, facets, dispensers, etc.
- Adding hot water
- Improving ventilation and adding an HVAC system for heating and cooling
- Updating the ramps to be fully concrete, rather than metal.
While the bathrooms are being renovated, we have a restroom trailer on-site to accommodate the larger Sunday crowds. For both Sundays, we are having the adults use these portable restroom trailers, instead of the normal restrooms. The kids will use the normal adult restroom for this Sunday and will go back to the kids restroom the following week once the renovations are finished. There will be plenty of signage for you to know where to go.
Tentative schedule:
- Kids Restroom Renovation: After services on July 14- July 27 (Closed on Sunday, July 21)
- Adults Restroom Renovation: After services on July 21-August 3 (Closed on Sunday, July 28)
Sunday closure schedule and where to go:
July 21
- Adults use restroom trailer in the parking lot.
- Kids use what is normally the men’s and women’s restrooms. (These restrooms are also available for those who require handicap accommodations).
July 28
- Adults use restroom trailer in the parking lot.
- Kids use the newly renovated kids’ restrooms. (These restrooms are also available for those who require handicap accommodations).
