Every Sunday from December 6th - 20th, we will be going through the message series, A Light in the Darkness.
In Isaiah 9:2,6 it says, "The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned. For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."
This prophecy states that the government will be on his shoulders. What does that mean? If you can carry something on your shoulders, who needs to be stronger, you or what you are carrying? If you combine all the governments of the world and the power they represent, Jesus is said to be carrying them. Jesus is God in Flesh. What he is doing in the world and what he says carries the day. He rules!
